Député 5ème circonscription des Français établis hors de France / Rapporteur de la Loi Influenceurs / Président du Groupe d’Amitié France-Espagne
Re-elected in July 2024, Stéphane Vojetta is the deputy who represents French expatriates established in Spain, Portugal, Andorra and Monaco in the National Assembly. He was part of the Presidential Majority until 2024, even though he had won the 2022 legislative election as an independent candidate against the official candidate of the presidential party, former Prime Minister Manuel Valls.
As a parliamentarian, he is particularly known for his work related to the regulation of the digital space and more specifically social networks. He is notably the co-rapporteur of the “Influencers Law” voted on in spring 2023. He also chairs the France-Spain Friendship group of the National Assembly.
Before becoming a parliamentarian in 2021, Stéphane Vojetta worked in the private sector. First in the City of London, then in Spain, as a M&A advisor specializing in the restructuring of distressed banks, then still in Spain as founder of the special situations advisory business within Key Capital Partners.
Born in France, Stéphane continued his entire studies there and graduated from ESSEC. He moved to London in 1997 and has lived in Madrid since 2005.
